It’s Been a Hard Year (2021)
Oil on canvas
64 x 100 cm

Starting from my feeling during the pandemic, this work discusses some issues for critical thinking about the pandemics influence on society and on human beings since 2019. In this work, images representing reality of the society have been introduced to a virtual space. A large expanse of wilderness is the setting, with a large number of symbolic elements such as medical workers, skeletons, bats, garbage bags, high-rise buildings and flashlights standing respectively for the pandemic, death, public opinions, modern society and modern civilization. The most common people and items during the pandemic are presented through visual art and the situation of globalization in the age of pandemic will be inspected from different perspectives, in different regions and with different humane care.
