Artwork Description:

This work is rooted in an earlier series of works from a few years ago. Through depicting some of the dated porcelain tiles I found in the architecture of this city, I attempted to chronicle time with my work. As an extension of this series, the antique porcelain tiles are transformed into delectable pastries. At the beginning of the exhibition, I want to share this work with the audience and allow everyone to have a taste of “time.” Every creative process in this work, including production, display in the exhibiting gallery, and final step of having the audiences consume it, is like the porcelain tiles in my practice—produced and being used over an extended period and faded away eventually over time.
