Dreams are often regarded as God’s revelation on the fate of individuals, and they also represent one’s subconscious desires. Dreams are full of rich emotions and stream-of-consciousness (or stream-of-thought), becoming an excellent creative theme. Ambiguity is a digital media video work that visualizes the emotions in dreams. Using the generative functions of digital media, this work creates a unique visual language to present the dream, giving viewers an immersive experience in a dream-like, ethereal atmosphere. It conveys the artist’s pursuit and longing for the dream realm, with gorgeous, psychedelic images representing human profound emotions, in an ode to life.
 

Xu Siyi
Xu Siyi has a master’s degree in visual communication, from the University of Macau and a bachelor’s degree in visual communication design from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. She has provided visual designs like posters, logos, and packaging for several organisations, including the Publicity Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, the Guangdong Provincial Office for Guiding Cultural and Ethical Progress, Taikoo Hui in Guangzhou, the Department of Economics at the University of Macau, the Macau brand "Funny Eye", the "Children's Flying Elephant" in Shenzhen, among others. Her works have been selected to numerous national and international exhibitions, including the 5th Chania International Photo Festival in Greece and "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Art and Design Exhibition of University Students", "Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2021: Collateral Exhibition", etc. She has also taken part in exhibitions organised by the Blank Wall Gallery in Greece, the Museum of Fine Arts of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, the Jiangmen Art Gallery, the Museum of Art, and the Centre for Arts & Design of University of Macau, as well as the Rui Cunha Foundation.
