“Village 203” is one of my ink wash painting series “Village – Paddy Field”. It mainly depicts the great changes noted by our country over the past four decades. The environment lived by people born in the 1950s and 1960s has been lost. Memories of the nation for 2000 years can only be retained in our minds and feelings. Works of the “Village” series last about 20 years, simply to keep something about the lost world alive as memory and record.
“Village 203” is drawn upon Taohuatan (literally “Peach Blossom Pond”) at Jingxian County, Anhui Province.
