Born in São Tomé and Príncipe; lives and works in Portugal. Studied at Instituto Português de Fotografia from 1992 to 1994. His photographic work is of a documentary nature; in his projects, he explores light through black and white. His themes are focused on the preservation of the cultural heritage (both material and immaterial) of Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and Cape Verde. Exhibits regularly since 1993.
