MGM COTAI will stage a major never-before-seen immersive exhibition of renowned post-war abstract master artist Hsiao Chin at MGM COTAI Theatre, as part of Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2023. It is also part of Hsiao Chin’s international museum exhibition tour in recent years.

Hsiao Chin has claims to be the most important Chinese/European artist of the last sixty years. His work can be found in museums from China and the US to Europe, and has formed an integral part of the MGM Chairman’s Collection in Macao, and it will be found in this new exhibition in a fresh and revelatory new setting at MGM COTAI Theatre. Part of his importance is his ability to fuse a profound understanding of traditional Chinese philosophy from Ch’an (Zen) to Taoism with an acute understanding of how space travel from the 60s onwards has transformed our understanding of our place in the cosmos. “To Infinity and Beyond: The Art of Hsiao Chin” will take the visitor on an extraordinary journey through time and space, offering them traditional experiences and space age experiences.
