“Wetware” serves as a cross-disciplinary conceptual metaphor between biology and computer science, anchoring organic beings into “biological hardware”. The ocean contains a complex of ecotones and data hubs, whose hydrological pulses bear the memories of nature and traces of civilisation. Using “wetware” as a prism, this exhibition dissects the ongoing negotiation in the urban fabric between ecology and digitalisation, landforms and technology. The viewer is confronted with the dialectic here: when technological systems attempt to incorporate the logic of life, they will also discover how living organisms disturb, resist and reshape their balance in return.
