Global City (2021)
Steel, resin
Ø 3.5 m

Globalization is a term so familiar that we have ceased to explore its promise and complexity. Even throughout the initial stages of the pandemic, the ease of international travel and partnerships highlighted the dizzying web of human connection. Commerce, art and culture have become inextricably linked across vast distances, and, even from the isolation of quarantine, a high-speed internet connection zooms us together in seconds.

Global City plays with this notion of a single global village, a sprawling human expansion that covers every inch of the earth, both underscoring our interconnection and signaling the threat our civilization poses to the planet. Global City manifests the indivisibility of human life, our teeming growth and the reality of what it means to share a single home.
