In Greek mythology there are many stories about two persons falling in love after being hit by Cupid's arrow, which has become a symbol of pure, beautiful love. But for the artist, love is a very complex emotion, and there may be plenty contradictions and distortions behind an apparent bliss. Especially in our consumerist era, many people think of pure love as a luxury. By choosing Cupid's arrow as the theme for artistic creation, the artist wants to convey, through the appropriation of the golden arrow symbol, the complex fickle emotions of our era – in particular contemporary people’s turbulent attitude towards love.
