Suzy Bila’s work is full of a sense of transcendence. Her instinctive brush strokes transform into abstract forms, either expressed in dramatic colors and or monochrome tints. In its colors, it departs from the other “meditative” approaches, such as, for example, the Chan painting tradition; in its intuitive and spontaneous approach to the canvas, it converges with those.
