Hello China, Hello Macao - The Odyssey of Jingdezhen Porcelain: A Heritage Voyage from Macao to the World

In conjunction with the UNESCO World Heritage nomination of the Imperial Kiln Sites of Jingdezhen, Wynn Macau presents a groundbreaking exhibition that bridges centuries of ceramic artistry through cutting-edge digital interpretation.

“Hello China, Hello Macao: A Heritage Voyage from Macao to the World” features meticulously crafted, 4K ultra-HD projections that bring Qing dynasty imperial kiln masterpieces to life with unprecedented clarity. Juxtaposed with these are contemporary ceramic works that reimagine traditional forms and techniques for modern sensibilities. The accompanying Ceramic Arts Forum extends this conversation, bringing together scholars and master artisans to examine the innovative evolution and contemporary applications of traditional craft techniques within modern contexts.

As a historic nexus of the Maritime Silk Road, for generations Macao has served as a vital conduit for cultural exchange through porcelain. This exhibition builds upon that legacy, employing technological innovation to honor Jingdezhen’s ceramic heritage and propel it forward. By creating new frameworks for intercultural understanding through digital mediation, the project reaffirms Macao’s enduring role as a cultural bridge while offering global audiences a fresh perspective on China’s porcelain tradition.
