“Hey, what brings you here?” —This simple daily greeting opens a gap for thought between Macao's past and future. The exhibition ‘Since it is．The Future’ attempts to explore how a city finds its own voice between ‘passive acceptance’ and ‘active creation’ when constantly questioned by foreigners.

“Since it is．The Future” is a ceremony that takes viewers from the “post- apocalyptic cultural archaeology” back to the “reconstruction of the present”. Starting with a reverse narrative of future archaeology and featuring four media artworks of the “Re”series, this exhibition deciphers the time and spatial code of the city in reverse.
